About The Social Enterprise
The Social Enterprise was established in 2007 by David Russell to develop creative and innovative approaches for organisations that seek to deliver social value. We work with a wide array of organisations, including charities and businesses, and our starting point on any project is to determine how we will generate a return on investment in our services – whether in the form of increased funding or revenue, a more cost-effective working approach or leveraging greater social impact.
We do not specialise in any one discipline, approaching problems through our broad-based experience which extends from strategic planning through financial management to organisational development. Our work extends from coordinating the advocacy strategy for reparation for genocide survivors in Rwanda (for Survivors Fund (SURF)), to developing the concept and implementation strategy for an international campaign organising older people to advocate for their rights (for HelpAge International). We also conduct executive coaching, with a specific focus on working with leaders in the social sector to improve their organisational performance.
Organisations we are currently advising include Unilever, Survivors Fund (SURF), Network for Africa and Parent Club.
